FOR BEAUTY & FRAGRANCE BRANDS, CREDIBILITY DEPENDS ON DELIVERING ON EVERY PROMISE
A shifted percentage. A lost nuance. A claim that quietly says something else.
In beauty and fragrance, these aren’t small errors. They change what your brand is promising.
Below are four real examples from published Dutch content, and how each one should have read.
WHAT SLIPS THROUGH
Four errors found in published Dutch beauty content, and how each one should have read.

HOVER OR TAP
01
CLAIM ACCURACY
The French version claims 36% fewer wrinkles after four weeks of use. The Dutch version promises 36% more.

HOVER OR TAP
02
MEANING & NUANCE
In English 'tugless' means removing make-up without pulling at the delicate eye area. 'Zonder poetsen' suggests something different: avoiding rubbing or scrubbing.

HOVER OR TAP
03
TERMINOLOGY
The English 'wear' refers to the foundation’s staying power. In Dutch, 'draagbaar' means wearable or portable. The claim shifts from 24-hour performance to merely being wearable.

HOVER OR TAP
04
INCONSISTENCY
The English version says the product 'immediately moisturizes skin'. In the Dutch version, it hydrates the lips instead. The claim no longer matches the product it describes.
